  • Redman once had a fling with co-star Dennis Waterman 30 years prior to New Tricks
  • Redman's daughter, Emily Gelnister, appeared alongside her mother in an episode of New Tricks, Only The Brave.
  • Redman and her on-screen counterpart, Sandra Pullman, are very similar in the sense that both their fathers died when they were very young - Redman's father died when she was 22 and Sandra Pullman's father died when she was 14. The two also left their jobs for almost identical reasons - Redman wanted to explore other acting opportunities and Pullman wanting to finally move on from UCOS.
  • She is still in regular contact with he former co-workers - Dennis Waterman , Alun Armstrong, James Bolam, Nicholas Lyndhurst and Denis Lawson - as well as Tamzin Outhwaite who replaced her.
